RoHS - Environmental friendly, we care what you care! The RoHS Directive stands for "the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment".

Since February 2003, this Directive bans the placing on the EU (European Union) market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of hazardous substances, which include the following 6 main substances. PROHIBITION AND SUBSTITUTION OF: Heavy Metals ‧ Lead (Pb) ‧ Mercury (Hg) ‧ Cadmium (Cd) ‧ Hexavalent Chromium (Cr) Brominated Flame Retardants ‧ Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) ‧ Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)

What is Optec's commitment towards RoHS?

With effect from the 1st July 2006, RoHS Directive has been fully implemented as a lawful enforcement in EU. Owing to the continuing trend of globalization, other countries apart from EU are also of their extremely high concern on this restriction which related to health and environmental care.
